Gunmen fired into Manila-bound Ro-Ro bus

E-mail Print PDF

The police are still investigating why gunmen fired into a Manila-bound RoRo bus early morning of Saturday, along the highway of Brgy. Agho, San Dionisio, Iloilo.

One of the passengers of the bus said the driver of the Dimple Star-owned unit halted after one of the windows was hit by a hard object.

The driver reportedly wanted to check on the incident when suddenly, three bonnet-wearing men open-fired, hitting the bus’s wheels.

The driver, despite the attack, drove the bus until they were able to ask help from the police.

In an interview over Bombo Radyo, Chief Inspector Danilo Delos Santos, chief of San Dionisio Police Station, said investigators recovered from the scene of the incident 11 empty shells of .9mm caliber pistol and two empty shells from a .45 caliber gun.

The police are still looking at “competition” among RoRo buses as one possible angle.

No one was hurt during the incident.*
