Police from Iloilo City and the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO 6) are all ready to ensure a peaceful and orderly celebration of this year’s Jaro Fiesta.

PRO 6 regional director Chief Supt. Agrimero Cruz said “Naka-alerto na po ang ating kapulisan at handa na para mapanatili ang seguridad at katahimikan ng nalalapit na piyesta sa Jaro.”

He said additional personnel from the Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team and other force multipliers will be deployed to complement the Police Integrated Patrol System or PIPS.

He explained the PIPs is an anti-crime strategy composed of police visibility, mobile and foot patrols, and checkpoints/chokepoints.

With all the activities slated like the multi-million cockfighting derby at the Iloilo Coliseum and the Jaro Fair, on top of the expected influx of pilgrims, Cruz called on the public for support and cooperation to ensure the safety and security of the occasion.*
