Traffic aides vs. traffic lights

E-mail Print PDF

Traffic congestion is still one of the major problems in Iloilo City event after the City Government has hired 200 traffic enforcers.

One passenger was overheard saying, "Ngaa wala pa ina ginpakaayo ka gobyerno ang mga traffic lights nga nagasagabal dira sa tunga karsada nga la man pulos? (Why is it that the government has not repaired those traffic lights? They're just right there on the streets, useless).

Her seatmate replied, "Ngaa, naga boto ang traffic lights nga ina haw? Kon ako kay mayor matiyaga na lang ako sa traffic aides kay naga boto" (Why? Do those traffic lights cast votes? If I were the mayor, I'd prioritize the traffic aides because they can vote).
