NIATA president Perfecto Yap however clarified that the airport mess that happened last Friday, November 9 involving the staff of Miriam Transport and Suzy Star Transport were due to personal a personal grudge and not because of passenger competition.
Based on the initial investigation of the NIATA, the two were former colleagues at Suzy Star. Yap said, the two women, which he refused to name, are now indefinitely suspended while waiting for the decision of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines.
Meanwhile, Yap clarified that during a meeting yesterday, members of NIATA promised that they will discipline their members to avoid a similar incident from happening.
"Any case involving personal matters will result to the suspension of the involved party," he said.
Yap also said they are serious in the implementation of proper decorum at the airport.
He said that they have already stationed one dispatcher to avoid any untoward incidents involving passenger competition.
