Two persons were arrested in a buy-bust operation mounted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Estancia town Monday night.

Arrested were Lewis Opinion and Lyndon Mata, both of legal age, at the former’s house in Cudillon St., Zone II.

Opinion was arrested after he handed a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer in exchange for P1,000.

Aside from the sachet taken from Opinion, PDEA agents also recovered four other sachets of suspected shabu and drug paraphernalia.

Meanwhile, Mata was arrested for carrying a .38 calibre pistol with five live ammunition.

Opinion’s brother, Dan Lester was able to escape and now remains at large.

An official from PDEA said that the Opinion brothers were already under tight monitoring.

The two arrested are now at the custody of PDEA and are facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs) of Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
