ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) hired registered nurses to assist members while they are confined in hospitals.
Capiz PhilHealth Information Officer Mary Jane Amigo said PhilHealth hired and deployed nurses effective May 2 in the various accredited hospitals under its Customer Assistance, Relations and Empowerment Staff (CARES) project in the country.
Amigo said the PhilHealth CARES nurses are now deployed in all Levels 3 and 4 accredited hospitals and Levels 1 and 2 government hospitals only.
She explained that said nurses will be providing onsite assistance to members, addressing issues and queries on membership, eligibility & benefits availment and will conduct surveys and studies developed by the PhilHealth.
For Capiz, four nurses will provide customer assistance to PhilHealth members, enlist new members to the National Health Insurance Program and conduct information, education and campaign activities to empower members of their rights and responsibilities.
Amigo said that of the nurses hired, one will be assigned in each tertiary hospital in Roxas City namely, Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Saint Anthony College Hospital and Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital, and another roving CARES nurse in charge of the concerns in the four Level 1 and 2 hospitals in Capiz, namely: Dao District, Tapaz District, Camp Peralta Station, Bailan and Mambusao District Hospitals.
She said that Jeaneth Lavilla, Charmaine Kay Aguilar and Lourenz Oliver Panes are respectively assigned at Saint Anthony College Hospital, Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital and Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, respectively, while Fel Louie Jimenea is assigned at Mambusao District Hospital and will be roving in the remaining Level 1 and 2 hospitals in Capiz.*PIA
