ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The 3rd Infantry Division (3ID) of the Philippine Army has upgraded its Camp Peralta Station Hospital (CPSH) at Camp Macario Peralta in Jamindan, Capiz into a Level II hospital.
The health facility caters to military personnel and their dependents.
"Upon the arrival of the requested equipment and facilities from the national headquarters we can perform surgical operation," said CPSH Commanding Officer Col. Nelson Dansel, M.D.
Requested facilities in the army hospital include hospital beds, operating room table and lights, anesthesia machine and generator, among others.
A blessing for the newly rehabilitated hospital was conducted last May 1 in time for the 38th anniversary of the Division.
The activity was graced by Army chief Emmanuel Bautista, 3ID commanding general Jose Mabanta, Jr. and Jamindan town officials led by Mayor Ethel Jinon.
Dansel added that CPSH will network with other civilian doctors in the region to augment medical personnel needed in the operation of the 25-bed capacity hospital.
CPSH only rendered consultation and catered to simple medical health needs of the patients before the level-up was put in place.*PIA
