ROXAS CITY, Capiz - Five notorious drug personalities, including the number one target listed in the province of Capiz were arrested by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 1 (PDEA RO1) in a buy bust operation last Wednesday.

Ryan Adrigado, 34, considered as the top drug personality in Capiz, was apprehended for peddling illegal drugs and maintaining a drug den in his house at Crossing Bato, Brgy. Banica, Roxas City.

Also arrested was Paterson Bermejo, 37, considered as the third top watch listed drug personality in Roxas City.

In a buy bust, the two suspects handed over one plastic sachet containing crystal methamphetamine or shabu to a PDEA poseur buyer over P1,500 marked money.

The PDEA team also yielded additional one sachet of shabu, several sachets of shabu residues, various drug paraphernalia, plastic sachets use for repacking, crumpled aluminium foils, weighing scale, two live ammunition of homemade shot gun and seven live ammunition of caliber .38.

Also arrested at the drug den were Maria Silva Aragon, 26, Mark Gil Bermejo, 19, and Roel Carles, 23, all from Roxas City.

The five suspects now face charges for violations of the Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

They were all temporarily detained at Roxas City Police Station for proper disposition of their case.*
