3 Capiz towns not joining Sinadya Fest

ROXAS CITY – Three towns in the province of Capiz won’t participate in the parade of festivals of Sinadya sa Halaran 2012 because they lack manpower and trainers.

Provincial Tourism Officer Al Tesoro announced that these three towns are Cuartero, Panitan and Ivisan.

Tesoro said only 14 towns will join the festivity set on the second day of the three-day celebration this December 6 t o 8.

Despite of the absence of the said towns, Tesoro said he is confident the festival will be a success.

The Sinadya sa Halaran used to be two separate festivals of the province and Roxas City but were merged in 1995 when the city and provincial officials were in the same political party.

It was learned that Cuartero, Panitan and Ivisan are now running under opposition party whose mayors belong to Ugyon Capiz Party-National Unity Party.*
