Father Lowe Dongor, 35, the Ilonggo priest who is facing a case of possession of child pornography, larceny of more than $250 and larceny from a building in the United States, apologized to his family, relatives and friends for giving them disappointment and shame.
In an interview over Bombo Radyo yesterday, Dongor thanked his kin for their support, which he said, was instrumental in his decision to surrender last month and go back to the US to face his case.
He also asked for prayers and moral support so that he will overcome this trial and eventually go back to his life as a priest.
Last night, Dongor left the Philippines for the US along with personnel of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
According to the Catholic Free Press, Dongor, of 51 Illinois St., Worcester, former associate pastor of St. Joseph’s Parish was accused of having pictures on his laptop of girls around the ages of 10 and 11 in various stages of undress. He also is accused of having stolen $40 or $50 on several occasions from the parish office, according to police reports. He was said to have sent the money home to his family in the Philippines.Â
