Apart from their 13th month pay and P5,000 cash gift, the employees of the Iloilo City Hall and Iloilo Provincial Capitol will get a productivity enhancement incentive (PEI) on or before Friday, Dec. 14, 2012.
Iloilo City Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog confirmed that all 1,800 regular City Hall employees will receive P30,000 each, which is 50 percent more than last year’s P15,000.
The amount was earmarked from the General Fund under Supplemental Budget No. 9 amounting to P 99.2-million which was approved by the Sangguniang Panlungsod (SP) last Dec. 5, 2012.
Meanwhile, Iloilo Gov. Arthur Defensor, Sr. has earlier announced that each of the 2,195 Capitol regular and casual employees will receive a PEI of P 35,000, which is the same last year, after approval of the Department of Budget Management (DBM).
The money was taken from the General Fund under Supplemental Budget No. 3 amounting to P 206,710,334 which was approved by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Iloilo last Nov. 25, 2012.
“The bonuses of all the regular and casual employees will be given before Friday. Sa mga bana, palihog ihatag ninyo ang inyo bonus sa inyo mga asawa para malikawan ang problema. I know somebody here nga nagreklamo ang iya asawa kay wala niya ginhatag ang iya bonus (For the husbands, please give your bonus to your wives to avoid problems. I know somebody here whose wife complained that her husband did not give his bonus),” Defensor said yesterday.*
