Antique mayors of town beneficiaries of Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan–Comprehensive and Integrated Delivery of Social Services (Kalahi-Cidss), signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) Monday with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for the implementation of the program.

Present to sign the MOA were DSWD Regional Director Minda Brigoli and Marivic Anonuevo, managing director of the Millennium Challenge Corporation-Philippine Account.

Antique Provincial SWD Officer Lazaro Petinglay said the eight mayors, except the mayor of the island town of Caluya, were present during the MOA signing held at Adelaide Tourist and Travelers Inn in the capital town San Jose de Buenavista.

With the MOA signed, the beneficiary towns will receive P113.85-worth of development projects funded by the MCC through the DSWD starting this year.

These towns are Anini-y, Culasi, Caluya, San Remigio, Valderrama, Laua-an, Pandan and Bugasong.
