Individuals who want to develop their skills in acting, singing, dancing and film and TV production can take part in the Unang Sine Pinoy National Summer Workshop that will be held in selected cities including Iloilo City on May 2012.
The other cities are Manila, Legaspi, Baguio, Puerto Princesa, Tagbilaran, Tacloban, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro and General Santos.
All participants will be entered into Eleda's pool of talents.
Eleda and D'ream Arts Production spearhead this project.
Each barangay will have a scholar, provided he/she is backed by an endorsement from the village chief. The organizer has already talked with the Association of Barangay Captains.
The activity aims to help Ilonggo artists to be globally competitive and be fit in the film industry.
Registration fee for the singing and dancing is P4,000 while for film and TV production, P5,000.
The courses will be given by professional artists – highly acclaimed facilitators for the acting workshop, known choreographers and musicians for the dancing and singing workshops, and world-class directors, writers and cinematographers for the film and TV production workshops. The latter's activities include photoshoots with professional photographers, videotape recordings (VTRs) and creation of a short film that will be screened during the culminating activity.
Award-winning film directors and scriptwriters will conceptualize full-length films with the participants, utilizing screenplays written by winners of the Sine Pinoy Screenplay Writing Competition that will be the city's key entry to the Sine Pinoy Festival in September 2012.
This year's festival theme is "Going Hope".

All submitted scripts will undergo three screening process. First, all scripts will be screened by an independent screening committee composed of premier script writers and film makers. They will choose one script per area which will be endorsed to D'ream Arts Production.
The second screening will be done by D'ream Arts Production. The script will then be endorsed to the Local Government Unit for their approval. This serves as the third and final screening of the script.
