BIR collection in Capiz reaches P227M

ROXAS CITY, Capiz - The government has earned more than P227-million in taxes in Capiz from January to April, this year.

Records from the Revenue District Office 72 in Capiz showed that revenue collection this year is higher by more than P47.54 million or 26.47 percent than the recorded P179.61 million in taxes collected in the same period last year.

For April 2012, the revenue collection was noted at more than P70.50million which is higher by more than P2.76 million or 4.08 percent than its target for the month.

The collection for the April 2012 was likewise higher by P13.08 million or 22.79 percent than that collected in 2011.

The Capiz' revenue goal for April was set at P67.744 million, Revenue District Officer Gil Tabanda said.*PIA
